Post-Construction Cleaning ยท Quad Cities

Ready for
opening day.

The contractor finishes, the dust doesn't. Our crew does the final clean after construction or a remodel, so the space is ready for staff, tenants and customers the day it opens.

After the build-out

Construction dust gets everywhere. The final clean is what people see.

A new build-out or remodel can look finished and still be covered in fine dust: on ledges, on light fixtures, in window tracks, across every floor. That is what tenants and customers notice on day one, not the new paint.

We clean in phases when the job calls for it: a rough clean once the heavy work is done, a final clean before the owner walkthrough, and a touch-up pass right before move-in. Floors get the treatment that fits what was installed, whether that is finish on new VCT or extraction on new carpet.

When the space opens, the same crew can stay on as your nightly cleaning, so the building that looked new on opening day still looks that way a year later.

What a final clean covers

  • Dust off ledges, sills, vents and fixtures
  • Leftover debris and packaging cleared out
  • Interior glass, frames and window tracks
  • Restrooms and break rooms ready to use
  • Hard floors cleaned and finished, carpet extracted
  • A touch-up pass right before move-in

Why contractors and owners call Fortis

One crew from the final clean to the first night of service.

General contractors need the final clean done on their schedule. Owners need the building kept that way afterward. We do both.

Questions

Post-Construction Cleaning FAQ

When should we schedule the final clean?

After the dusty work is done and before the owner walkthrough. Bigger jobs often get a rough clean first and a touch-up right before move-in. We set the phases on the walkthrough.

Do you work for general contractors?

Yes. We work for general contractors, building owners and tenants finishing a build-out. Whoever hires us, the scope is written down before we start.

Can you finish new floors?

Yes. New VCT gets prepped and finished, new carpet gets extracted, and tile gets cleaned. Tell us what was installed and we plan for it.

Can you keep cleaning the space after it opens?

Yes. Many spaces keep the same crew on for nightly janitorial, so the people who know the building from day one stay on it.

How do we get a proposal?

Send the address, rough square footage and the date it needs to be ready. We walk it and you get a written scope within 48 hours.
